Detours Routes 53 and 55 – Geelong Running Festival – Sunday 20th Sept 2026

Detours – and Moorabool St Bus Interchange not in service until 9:30am

The inaugural Geelong Running Festival will be held on Sunday 20th September, 2026.

To safely facilitate this event, there will be road closures in place around the city and there will be disruptions to some morning services.  Moorabool St Bus Interchange will not be serviced on all trips.

Due to closures in Malop St, Mercer St and Moorabool St, the Moorabool St Bus Interchange will be out of service Sunday morning until 9:30am.

Route 53 and Route 55 will detour from Moorabool St, Fyans St, Latrobe Terrace, Gordon Ave to Geelong Rail both inbound and outbound prior to 9:30am.

Bus Stops in Moorabool St from Fyans St (as marked with an X on the map below) will not be serviced prior to 9:30am on Sunday 20/9/26.
