V/Line trip changes – Great Ocean Road closure Thursday 16th October for Amy’s Gran Fondo cycle event

Road closures will be in effect between Lorne and Eastern View from 5am until 5pm on Thursday 16/10/25.

Some buses will detour inland via Deans Marsh Rd.

Please note that Eastern View and Fairhaven will not be serviced on some trips 16/10/25*.    Stops in Lorne will remain open.

Disruption to services:

Due to the road closure on the Great Ocean Rd, from Lorne to Fairhaven the following trips will be affected:

Geelong to Apollo Bay/Lorne:

• 10:11am Geelong to Apollo Bay ~ will run as 2 buses:

1. As per normal timetable from Geelong to Aireys Inlet (2) where it will terminate.  *No service to Eastern View or Fairhaven this trip.
2. Operate express from Geelong to Lorne inland via Deans Marsh, and then continue as normal to Apollo Bay.

• 11:26am Geelong to Lorne ~ will run as 2 buses

1. As per normal timetable from Geelong to Aireys (2) where it will terminate.  *No service to Eastern View or Fairhaven this trip.
2. Operate express from Geelong to Lorne inland via Deans Marsh and then continue as per timetable to Lorne Hotel.

• 2:31pm Geelong to Apollo Bay ~ will operate as per timetable from Geelong to Aireys (2).  The coach will wait, and then depart Fairhaven at 4:15pm, and continue along the route.  All stops will be open by this time.

Apollo Bay/Lorne to Geelong: 

• 5:51am Apollo Bay departure will operate as per timetable with a minor deviation through Lorne.  Lorne stops remain open.

• 9:46am Apollo Bay to Geelong ~ will run as 2 buses

1. As per timetable to Lorne and then detour inland, express to Geelong.
2. Coach two will start at Aireys (2) at 11:14am and service all stops to Geelong.   *No Eastern View or Fairhaven this trip.

• 1:25pm Lorne Hotel departure will run as 2 buses

1. As per timetable to Lorne, and then detour inland via Deans Marsh, express to Geelong.
2. Coach two will start at Aireys (2) at 1:55pm and service all stops to Geelong.

• 2:40pm Apollo Bay to Geelong will run as 2 buses

1. As per timetable to Lorne, and then detour inland and run express to Geelong.
2. Coach two will start from Aireys (2) at 4:08pm and service all stops to Geelong. *No Eastern View or Fairhaven this trip.
