Route 31 detour – Townsend Rd closure 9/9/2025

For approximately 7 days

Due to roadworks Townsend Rd will be closed from 9th September 2025 for about 7 days.

Detours will be via Hickey Street, Boundary Rd to St Albans Rd in both directions as shown by the blue line on the map below.

Temporary stops will be located at 246 Wilsons Rd inbound to Geelong and St Albans Reserve outside the tennis courts (opposite 253 Boundary Rd) outbound from Geelong.

Route 31 will also service the Boundary Rd/Townsend Rd inbound bus stop.

The following bus stops will not be accessible during this time and are marked with an x on the map.

  • Lucy Court/Townsend Rd in both directions
  • Elizabeth St/Townsend Rd in both directions
