Route 56 – Pt Lonsdale Christmas Tree lighting Saturday 6 December, 2025

On Saturday 6th December, the Borough of Queenscliffe will be holding the annual community carols and lighting of the Christmas Tree.

From 4:30pm, this event requires Point Lonsdale Road to be closed between Lawrence Road and Bowen Road, as well as Grimes Road between Point Lonsdale Road and Nelson Road.

Route 56 will detour via Nelson St and Lawrence St during this time as shown by the blue line in the map below.

Bus stops at Bowen Road/Point Lonsdale Road, and  Springs Beach/Point Lonsdale Road will not be accessible between 4:30pm and 9:30pm.

Temporary bus stop will be located in Nelson Rd as in past years.
