New Year’s Eve 2024 additional services

Each year Geelong has its own fireworks display at Eastern Beach. There are two times the fireworks take place:

  • 9.30pm family fireworks
  • 12am NYE fireworks

Both fireworks last 7 minutes.

PTV are trialling additional bus services to operate in the Geelong Region on New Years Eve, Tue 31/12/2024, so why not leave the car at home, and catch the bus to and from the New Year’s Eve celebrations

Our normal services are still operating which will help you get to the 9.30pm fireworks.  Our NYE services are a supplement to the normal services which are listed below. They will not be able to use the bus zone in Moorabool Street, but will be at a temporary location in Moorabool Street between Little Malop and Ryrie St.

Normal services operate on New Years Day.

    Public transport is a fun and easy way to travel around Geelong with children. Children aged four years and under travel for free right across Victoria.
    When travelling with a pram, hold on to the pram and make sure your child is strapped in securely. Apply the brake to prevent it from rolling.
