Ironman 70.3 Geelong

Portarlington Rd closed Sunday 23rd March, 2025 6am to 1:30pm

To safely facilitate the Ironman 70.3 Portarlington Rd will be closed between Garden St and Grubb Rd from 6am to 1:30pm.

As a result, diversions will be in place for our Route 60 and 61 and 30 services.

Route 60 – Geelong to St. Leonards  and Route 61 – Geelong to Drysdale services inbound and outbound will need to deviate via Ormond Rd, Bellarine Hwy and Grubb Rd as shown by the green line in the map below.

All bus stops along Portarlington Rd between Ormond Rd and Grubb Rd will not be able to be serviced until after 1:30pm on Sunday 23rd March 2025.

Route 30 – Geelong to St. Albans Park via Newcomb outbound from Geelong Rail, will travel via Garden St to Myers St, where it will continue the rest of the route as normal, as shown by the blue line in the map.  Inbound services to Geelong will travel via Meakin St, McKillop St and Ormond Rd to Garden St as shown by the purple line.

The Geelong Botanic Gardens/Geelong High School and Normanby St stops will not be in service until after 1:30pm on Sunday 23rd March, 2025.
