V/Line Geelong to Apollo Bay – disruptions to service -Great Ocean Road Running Festival

Sunday 18th May 2025

Due to the running of the Great Ocean Road Marathon, the Great Ocean Road will be closed from Skenes Creek to Lorne from 7:00am until 2:30pm and the following service alterations will apply on our V/Line – Geelong to Apollo Bay service

The 6:36am and 9:46am Apollo Bay to Geelong services will run as two coaches

Coach one will travel as normal between Apollo Bay and Skenes Creek, then run inland express to Belmont and Geelong and will not service Kennett River, Wye River and Lorne Hotel.

Coach two will travel from Lorne to Geelong servicing all stops.  *Please note the 6:36am Apollo Bay departure will not service Lorne Hotel.  This service will depart from Lorne Main St at 7:36am.

The 10:11am Geelong to Apollo Bay service will run as two coaches.

Coach one will travel as normal between Geelong and Lorne Hotel where it will terminate.

Coach two will travel from Geelong and Belmont, then express to Skenes Creek, and Apollo Bay with no stops at Wye River and Kennett River.
