Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race – Sat 31st Jan and Sun 1st Feb 2026
Due to temporary and rolling road closures in place around the region for the UCI Elite races, delays are expected across the weekend.
Please note that delays/block and hold treatments leading to delays of up to 20 minutes may be experienced over the course as the cyclists complete 3 laps of Geelong. The Geelong City detours below will take place between the times as shown:
Saturday between 3:45pm and 4:30pm and Sunday between 2pm to 3:45pm
- Outbound Routes 41, 42, 53, 55 and V/Line Outbound services from Geelong Rail will be required to detour, and will divert from Moorabool St to Kilgour, La Trobe Tce/Settlement Rd, Barwon Heads Rd. Routes 41, 42, 53, V/Line will then travel via Mt. Pleasant Rd to High St, where services will resume as normal. Route 55 will continue on Barwon Heads Rd.

ALL INBOUND ROUTES WILL DETOUR VIA RYRIE AND FENWICK ST BETWEEN 3:45PM – 4:30PM ON SATURDAY AND 2PM TO 3:45PM ON SUNDAY.

MOORABOOL ST INTERCHANGE INBOUND WILL NOT BE SERVICED DURING THIS TIME. SERVICES WILL GO DIRECTLY TO GEELONG RAIL
