Football Diversion – Moorabool St Geelong

Saturday 2nd July, and Thursday 7th July, 2022

Moorabool St (from Fyans St to Kilgour St) Geelong will be closed for AFL Football games held at GMHBA Stadium for approximately 1.5 hours prior to the game, until approximately 60 minutes after the end of the game.

Moorabool St closure will commence at approximately 6pm and conclude approximately 11pm on both nights

Buses will divert and travel along Yarra St as shown in the blue line below.  Temporary stops will be placed in Yarra St.

A single lane along Moorabool St will be open to allow traffic to run North to South 15 minutes after the start of the first quarter and will remain in place until the start of the last quarter.

The full road closure will end at approximately 11pm to allow patrons to exit the Stadium safely.

The road closure will commence at approximately 6pm on Saturday 2nd July and Thursday 7th July, with single lane access from 7:40pm – 8:40pm, and full closure again from approximately from 10pm until 11pm.
