ANZAC Day Geelong Disruptions

Wednesday 25 April 2018 – 9.30am to 11.45am

To facilitate the ANZAC Day March along Malop Street, bus services will not operate from the Moorabool Street Bus Interchange between 9.30am and 11.45am on 25 April.

Buses that normally operate from Moorabool Street Bus interchange outside Market Square, will depart from the north side of Ryrie Street, between James Street and Moorabool Street.

and

V/Line – Geelong to Apollo Bay via Great Ocean Road services that normally operate from Malop Street will will depart from the south side of Ryrie Street, between Moorabool Street and Gheringhap Street.

Buses heading south from Geelong will travel via the green line.

Buses heading from the south to Geelong will travel via the blue line.

Buses heading to or from east Geelong will travel via the brown line.

Bus services will resume their normal routes after 11.45am.

ANZAC Day Torquay Diversion

Wednesday 25th April 2018

Due to road closures around the ANZAC Day Dawn Service in Torquay, there will be minor diversions to the route 50 and 51 services.

The following two services will need to deviate from Bell St, left Pride St, right Price St, and left The Esplanade.

  • The route 50 bus from Jan Juc, that arrives in Torquay at 7.06am
  • The route 51 bus from Jan Juc, that arrives in Torquay at 7.30am

No bus stops will be missed, however there may be delays through the Torquay area.

ANZAC Day Torquay Dawn Service

Wednesday 25th April 2018

A free Park and Ride facility will again be provided at this year’s ANZAC Day Dawn Service in Torquay. This service is provided by the Victorian Government, in association with Surf Coast Shire and McHarry’s Buslines.

The aim of the Park and Ride facility is to relieve parking congestion around the streets of Torquay and provide a safe and convenient way for people to attend the service.

 

5am to 6am: Bus service will operate from Spring Creek Reserve to the Dawn Service at Point Danger.

From 7am (or as soon as the ceremony concludes): return services to Spring Creek Reserve from the drop off point at Point Danger.

 

This service will be free of charge to anyone who parks in Spring Creek Reserve, so why not use the bus and get dropped at the door with out the parking hassles.

Football Deviation

Moorabool Street will be closed to all traffic two and a half hours before the game starts, each time the Geelong Cats play at their home ground at Kardinia Park. It will remain closed until 30 minutes after the game also.
